Lunch Time

Interested in a scenic drive to an out of the way local restaurant that has great food and country hospitality?  We have a few routes for you from about 30 minutes to 1 hr 20 minutes on scenic roads.  Get with a couple of friends and leave the crowds for relaxing drive and food experience.


B&N Food Market

B&N Food Market in Bagdad, KY,  home cookin’ like brisket, roast turkey smash burgers and all the fixin’s.  About 1 hour and 20 minutes on a route that takes you north then west and along the Kentucky River.  Very scenic areas on the way.  You’ll return through Frankfort so stop and see the State Capitol and visit Daniel Boones Gravesite.


Windy Corner

Windy Corner located in northeast Fayette County is located in the middle of bluegrass farm land with horses in the back yard.  Indoor and outdoor seating.   Great po’boy sandwiches and home cookin’ await you.  A very easy drive through horse country and near Paris, KY.  After lunch head to Paris and see the Secretariat Park on Main Street and browse at the local shops.


Wallace Station

Wallace Station is the sister to Windy Corner.  It is in Eastern Woodford County near Versailles.  You’ll see this landmark spot on your way to Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace Distilleries.

Just past Wallace Station you can take a right on US 62 and arrive in Midway, KY with several dining options including, The Brown Barrell, The Goose and Gander, and Heirloom Restaurant.  Located on the Railroad Tracks this quant town has shopping in several local shops.
